Originally from New Orleans, LA, has worked with legends such as Percy Sledge, Aaron Neville, the Coasters, Drifters, and Platters. He has opened for Johnny Taylor, Bobby Blue Bland, and other Blues greats. His jazz roots is forever present in his diverse playing style.
Emile began playing guitar at the age of 10 years old. His father the late Emile Vinet Sr., a well known jazz pianist in New Orleans, LA influenced him to want to get involved in what is the musical heritage of every New Orleanean. "A little boy in the neighborhood played guitar, and that was it for me. I had to play guitar." “I have spent my whole life trying to out play him."
Emile is at home with most instruments. His first love is guitar, but he is a very accomplished musician on piano, bass, and saxophone as well. He has composed, performed, arranged, and produced 12 cd’s. He is a gifted song writer, his story telling is amazing. “I had visions of one day becoming a music teacher, so I learned my way around most instruments.” He is mostly self-taught, but he did study music at Southern University in New Orleans, LA.. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University in Education, and Associate of Arts in Musical Composition, Voice, and Instrument. He also has an Associate of Arts degrees in Psychology, Fine Art, and Film and Television.
Emile is a United States Air Force veteran, and has performed wherever he was stationed. He and his family settled in Vacaville, CA, where he has been performing in many venues, including festivals and events in the northern California bay area.
